Our First Delay (And Hopefully Our Last)

They were supposed to pour our slab today but due to an issue with the inspection being late in the day they will not be pouring the slab until Saturday. We have been assured that this will not effect the schedule of the house and that they are still planning on starting the cinder block walls on Monday.

However, we did have some progress and I did get a few new pictures of the plumbing.

Electricity! Sort of!

They put in our power pole so that the workers could have electricity at the land! This was very exciting (just like the port-a-potty). Anything that will help speed up the job is a good thing.

Master Bathroom

I wanted to get a better picture of the master bathroom (okay so you are going to have to use your imagination) so you could get an idea of how it is going to be laid out. The wooden square is where the shower is going to be, and to the left of that is where the garden tub will be, and to the right of the shower is where the water closet will be.

Across from the shower the two white pipes sticking up are the double sinks that are in the master bathroom vanity. The gray line between them is the water line for both sinks. And if you look behind that gray line you will see another gray line, that is the water line for the refrigerator in the kitchen.

Our floor outlet

While they were installing our electric pole for the workers they also installed our electric outlet that will be in the floor of our family room. I am so excited to have this because now we know exactly where the Christmas tree will go! No more cords strung across the room. Plus it will be nice to have a lamp on an end table without having worry about the cords. It's the little things like this that made me fall in love with this house!
